AI Computer Vision and Real-Time Object Detection

Kalynda Tech builds AI systems that perform real-time object detection on live video. Vehicles, pedestrians, trucks, runway foreign object debris (FOD), marine pollution and wildfire smoke are detected in a drone or fixed-camera feed and pushed to a control dashboard within seconds. Models are trained to work on imagery captured from 100–400 metres of altitude.

Live, not after the fact

Most video analytics products scan recorded footage afterwards. Kalynda's architecture processes the live stream: an RTMP or RTSP feed is split into frames, the model classifies each frame, and a detection reaches the dashboard — and an alert, where configured — within seconds.

The difference is operational: seeing an object on the runway in tomorrow's report is not the same as catching it before the next departure.

Edge inference, not cloud-dependent

On sites with weak connectivity, shipping full video to the cloud is not realistic. The model can run on the edge device, sending only detections and evidence frames upstream. That cuts both latency and data cost.

Models are retrained on imagery from the customer's own site — a runway, a coastline and a forest canopy are very different backgrounds, and a general-purpose model does not close that gap by itself.

Where it is used

FOD detection on runways and taxiways; vehicle density and classification on highways; oil spill and plastic accumulation along coastlines and offshore; smoke and heat-source detection for wildfire early warning; crop health and irrigation monitoring on farmland; damage assessment and search-and-rescue support after a disaster.

Frequently asked questions

What objects can the system detect?

Cars, trucks, minibuses, pedestrians, runway foreign object debris, marine pollution and smoke are the base classes. A new class is added by retraining the model on imagery collected from the site.

Does it work with our existing cameras?

Yes. Any drone, IP camera or NVR that can publish an RTMP or RTSP stream can be used as a source; the hardware does not have to be replaced.

Where is the footage stored?

By default full video is not uploaded — only detections and evidence frames are retained. A fully on-premise deployment that sends no data outside the site is also available.
